"This brings up a lot of issues like should wild animals be kept in captivity purely for our entertainment, Bridgewater State student Diane Carey said. "If I were going to Florida this spring break I definitely wouldn't go to SeaWorld after a third person was killed by this whale."
It is suspected that Brancheau had violated some of the training rules and that was ultimately the cause of her death. With statements floating around an error in teaching strategies it would appear as if SeaWorld is now safe to attend as long as you follow the rules, but many people disagree with the whale shows because they are risky.
When interviewed, most tourists believed that the whale shouldn't have been performing in shows after the first death, let alone be allowed to continue after the third death.
"I think it's crazy of SeaWorld to allow that whale to still perform after taking the lives of three people," said student James Walsh.
