The team's goals for the tournament vary from having fun and catching up with past teammates and opponents, to preparing for important tournaments, and letting every member have a chance to get some playing time in.

"We would like to play as well as possible, but we would like to get everyone playing time as well," said Lopes. " We have a "B" team who gets to play in the tournament and sometimes the "A" team will get to face against the "B" team as well as the Alumni team so that's always fun."

"It's good practice for the sectionals because we get to play other teams in our area" added Lauranzano.

Outside of the three teams from Bridgewater State competing in the tournament (Team A, Team B and the Alumni team) will be UMass Amherst, UMass Dartmouth, UMass Lowell, Central Connecticut State University, Providence College, Clark University, Bentley College, Hartford University, New England College, New Hampshire University, Merrimack College, and Olin College.

As for the name "Toilet Bowl," the three captains were not completely sure of the origin as it was created well before they were enrolled at BSC.

There is, however, a belief that it has to do with the fountains found behind the Rondileau Campus Center.

"I think it has to do with the water fountains because they are shaped like a toilet bowl," reasoned Steeves.

Lopes joked, "The fountains kind of look like a bidet, too."

While the origin of the tournament's name may not be clearly known, the objective of all involved is. The B.U.T is set to have a good time and catch up with teams from around the area, as well as past players, while preparing for upcoming tournaments and raising some money in the process.

The Bridgewater Ultimate Frisbee Team will host its annual "Toilet Bowl" this Saturday and Sunday, with games starting at 9 a.m., 10:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m., and 3 p.m. on Saturday, and at 4 p.m. on Sunday.
