Everybody loves cupcakes-not to eat, but to wear. Not up with the newest fad yet? For those already covered in cupcake apparel and those who had no clue as what this was about, the Horace Mann Auditorium was the place to be Monday, November 16th.

RHA sponsored the visit by well-known prodigy Johnny Cupcakes. As a creator of his own clothing line, Johnny came to BSC to help educate students on how to start their own business. The night consisted of a lecture and slideshow that displayed the hard work, dedication, and effort it takes to get a self-owned business off the ground. This event had a full-packed room and students who weren't able to attend missed an unforgettable lecture.

Through cracking jokes and making his audience laugh, Johnny's presentation was both interesting and easy to follow. He gave students tips and tricks on how to start off their business and how to accommodate their work space. If a business is to be placed in an awkward setting, he was able to share his secrets on how to make the room look bigger.

Other tips he gave to students came from the use of websites. He said that websites were one of the greatest factors in the growth of his business. Some of the websites included jakprints.com, alibaba.com, merchline.com, and zazzle.com. He did mention that an advantage of zazzle.com is that items can be put up for sale and the designer does not have to pay the site until someone buys the item.

Johnny said that you have got to "spend money to make money" and to "work now and play later." He stressed to students that it is essential to take risks in order to be successful. At one point he called himself "Risky McRiskerson" and said that he "loved taking risks." He shared that there were times where he was completely broke, but according to him, this is how he became so successful.

The night ended on a fun note, with Johnny testing his audience with trivia on different areas of interest and rewarding them with prizes for correct answers. The prizes ranged from a glow in the dark key chain to free t-shirts. One lucky winner was able to get a Johnny Cupcakes snow tube that was brand new and not yet released. Another winner was handed $20 in cash out of Johnny's pocket.

Whether they had heard of Johnny Cupcakes before or had just learned about him that night, BSC students left the Horace Mann Auditorium that night as big cupcakes fans.
