On November 24, two of pop's biggest stars will go head to head on the Billboard charts. Britney Spears and Lady GaGa both have albums arriving in stores that are sure to battle it out for the number one spot.

Spears is releasing The Singles Collection, a compilation of all 29 of her singles as well as her new number one hit "3." GaGa is unleashing The Fame Monster, a re-release of her debut album, The Fame. The album features eight new songs that are destined to become worldwide hits. Each diva will be releasing two versions of their new albums, a standard and deluxe edition. Spending the few extra dollars for the upgraded versions is well worth it.

The "ultimate fan box set" of The Singles Collection is a must have for die hard fans. Each song is packaged in its own case complete with the original single artwork and will include either a b-side or remix of the track. In addition to this, a DVD featuring all of Spears' music videos in chronological order is sure to please. There is also a collectible booklet chock full of photos as well as facts about each single. This edition is destined to sell out quickly, so snatch up your copy fast.

The deluxe edition of The Fame Monster is essential for GaGa's most loyal followers. Not only does the album feature new music, but insanely unique items to add to your collection. One such item is the "Book of GaGa," a intensely structured art book that follows GaGa's creative process and conquering of pop music. In addition to this, the deluxe edition will also include a lock of GaGa's hair, a collectible puzzle, posters, fanzines, a paper doll collection, personal notes from GaGa and much more. Each deluxe edition will be individually numbered as well, further cementing their highly-collectible status.

It will be interesting to see which of these two starlets will claim the top spot. Each girl is dynamic in their own right, contributing their own personal mixes of style, flair, and creativity to the world of pop music. I think one of the main factors that will determine the outcome is the amount of appearances and promotion Spears and GaGa do.
