The students beat out 45 other schools to win the coveted award, which included Emory and Columbia. Senior Alex Perry of Andover put everything together as the film's director, writer and cinematographer. Alongside Perry directing was Halifax native Jim Sass, '10, who also co-edited. Alex Lewis, '09, of Duxbury, earned a Best Actor nomination for his role as the villainous character, Vladimir. Other characters in the short film included: Jake Rapoza of Berkeley, Josh Homen of Westport, Nick Assad of Fall River, Nate Clapp of Wilmington, Dan King of Middleboro, Christie Bowles of Methuen and Dmitri Serbarinov of Uxbridge. Somerset's own Katia Hagerman was the film's make-up artist.
BSC is proud to have these very talented individuals represent the college in a very positive light. Hopefully next year we can have another Bridgewater group accomplish as much as the Scrabble team has.
