What woman doesn't love a hot pair of heels? It seems like something comes over women when they strap a pair on. They exude confidence and sex appeal, ready to take on whatever challenges they may face that day.
After the collections have been presented at fashion week, and the clothes have been poured over by editors and stylist, accessories, mainly bags and shoes, are next on the list of things that need to be examined.
One of the hottest pairs of heels to hit the fashion scene in quite sometime is the Dillian Flower Pump from Christian Louboutin (pictured center left).
Many of you may recognize the shoe from Britney Spears' latest video "If U Seek Amy."
Some may think the giant flower on the shoe is a tad over the top, but you can get the shoe without it if it is too intense for you. This shoe is for a woman who likes to standout in a crowd and has no problem owning a room. This is a great shoe for the spring season.
Another great shoe for spring is the red and white multicolored platform sandal from Prada (pictured center top right).
This shoe caused a little trouble for the models as they walked down the runway at the Prada show, but it has since been tweaked for actual consumers.
It is the perfect mix of high fashion and luxury, with a little bit of comfort thrown in so that you're not crying after wearing them on the party circuit all day and night.
There are so many more options for spring shoes. They range from sensible flats to chic little gladiator sandals. These two selections are just the tip of the iceberg.
As for the recent fall collections that were shown in March, there are some amazing shoes that came from those collections.
Some standouts came from Christian Louboutin, Roger Vivier, and Roberto Cavalli. Each had some mind bending shoes that certainly will have fashionistas banging down the doors.
One shoe, from Givenchy (pictured bottom left), is for the warrior women who rule the concrete jungle.
It is covered with studs and has a zip front that closes up the front of your foot. They may give off a little S&M vibe, but they are some incredible shoes.
One name that many people may not be familiar with is Brian Atwood. He creates some of the most incredible shoes on this planet.
His most recent collection had some of the most amazing shoes out of any collection shown for fall.
The python bootie with elastic lace detail (pictured bottom right) is one mighty fine shoe. It features everything Brian Atwood is about. His philosophy about shoes is that they should fuse art, fashion, and culture. With a four and a half inch heel you certainly would look like a walking piece of art as you tower over everyone else.
It has been a great run these last three years with Craft Style Files. I never thought that I would be able to write about something that I found interesting. It has been more than an amazing experience.
With that I thank those who have read my column and wish you all the best in life and love.
