In response to "Fresh Faced Honesty," I ask you Meg Allen, how about some fresh faced ignorance? Have you no qualms about so obtusely berating what over 50 groups and societies on campus try to achieve. You are campus involvements gopher. Hounding upon superstitions that are not even true! As a woman and college student I am shocked and dismayed that you were completely unaware of the fact that the Vagina Monologues ran in the Campus Center demo room this past weekend. As far as theatre is concerned almost every show on campus airs over the weekend. This past Saturday, Saul Williams, one of the most influential and phenomenal performance poets of our day came here to our very own Bridgewater State at the whopping price of zilch! Now, I ask you…why can't you find anything to do?

Perhaps you are not yet computer savvy enough to type in weekend programs into the BSC search engine, try it sometime! Or, at least look at the right column of the website which often lists events on campus. Furthermore, as for your horrific slight of Springfest please research before you bash one of the campus's most widely attended events! Most students (at least I hope the ones working so diligently for the campus paper The Comment) know that Springfest ends on the Saturday after it begins. There is now even an Earth Day extravaganza run by community services and helped by several campus groups…so get out this year pick up some trash and enjoy one of the many, many, many weekend events that the campus gives you.

Here's some more fresh faced honesty…get out of your room! There is a cinema located not two miles down Route 18. There is a plethora of restaurants to go to, and if you are of age we even have pubs located so near to campus there is no reason what so ever to drive. If you have six dollars in your pocket, hop on the commuter rail and head into Boston for a night full of activities. Not into that kind of scene? Why not grab some coffee and walk to the park located near campus? Have a gander at the stars while strolling around the lovely lit-up Boyden after hours. There is much to be done if only you would open your mind and expect yourself to make and find your own plans, not the world around you. There is a ride going of things to do, I suggest you quit complaining, ignorantly bashing the worker bees, and get on it. -Colleen Farrell Class of 2007
