The Bridgewater State College dominated the visiting Trailblazers of Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts tonight, defeating their MASCAC opponent 77-41, at the Adrian Tinsley Center, avenging a 49-46 loss earlier in the season at North Adams.
With the win, the Bears keep their faint MASCAC Tournament hopes alive, as they improve to 9-10 overall, and 3-6 in conference play, while MCLA falls to 3-16 on the season and 1-6 in the MASCAC.
Junior Jessica Worden (Rockland, MA) led all scorers with 21 points and also registered a double-double as she added 12 rebounds. Sophomore Megan King (Cherry Valley, MA) added 16 points, as she connected on 8 of 9 shots from the floor. Sophomore Samantha Curry (Braintree, MA) also finished in double figures, with 12 points.
Junior Catherine Saad (Brockton, MA) led Massachusetts College with 13 points, 11 of those coming in the second half. Fellow junior Ashley Clark (Waterbury, CT) added 11 points and 6 rebounds in the losing effort.
Bridgewater will see their next action on Thursday, as they travel to Johnson & Wales University for a 7:00 start. MCLA will travel to Worcester State College on Saturday at 2:00, for a MASCAC game.
