All of the countless hours of hard work and effort just weren't enough for any Bridgewater State team this fall. Despite having successful seasons, the school's two soccer programs, football team, field hockey team, women's tennis, volleyball squad, and two cross-country teams all fell short of a title in 2009.

The Mighty Hott Dogs finished the regular season with a record of 4-1. Their only loss of the season coming against the undefeated "Staff Infection." Seeded number two in the American League, their first opponent of the divisional round was "2 Wood or not 2 Wood.

This past Sunday deflated the high spirits held by Patriots fans over the last four weeks. In front of a national audience, they were defeated in the final seconds by just a single point.
Prior to Peyton Manning driving twenty nine yards and connecting with Reggie Wayne for a 1-yard touchdown pass, Patriots coach Bill Belichick placed trust in his offense that posted thirty-four points through the first 58 minutes of play.

This coming weekend, the Bridgewater State Ultimate Frisbee Team, or B.U.T as they are called, is hosting its annual "Toilet Bowl" at the Tinsley fields.
The squad has been an institution here for over ten years, although the following is rather underground due to the obscure nature of the sport.
