Bridgewater State College does not allow postings which advocate the use of alcohol or illegal substances. This is a viewpoint biased policy, and it seems to me that it is unconstitutional for that reason. Even if it is not unconstitutional, I will argue that it should be removed.

Americans now spend more than five billion dollars a year celebrating Halloween. While that number may not seem like much when compared to what consumers dole out for Christmas or Hanukah, it's certainly not a figure to just shrug off. Those five billion in sales means that Halloween is the second highest grossing holiday and in fact, one quarter of all the candy sold annually in the U.

Last week, I contributed an editorial entitled "Food Service" in support of the food service workers on campus. BSC students and faculty value their work and their contributions to our community, and we will continue to lend steadfast support to the service workers' union in their pursuit of equitable wages on par with regional Sodexo operations.

When Rasheed Wallace said that the Boston Celtics would win 72 games this season (the record held by the 1996 Chicago Bulls) most people, analysts and fans alike, just brushed it off, figuring it was just Rasheed running his mouth as he's been known to do.

There seems to be a pattern here. Every trend starts out with something small, people take notice and blow it out of proportion, and then the trend just needs to be buried alive. The field of paranormal studies is definitely in that boat right now. I don't want to say it started with TAPS, especially since South Park had their way with Jay and Grant recently, but somewhere along the line there spawned Ghost Hunters, Most Haunted, and Scariest Places on Earth.
