Scores of Massachusetts politicians have been stepping forth in an attempt to fill the empty senate seat created by the death of Edward "Ted" Kennedy in August. A special election will be held between January 18 and February 2, 2010 to select a new senator for the first time since Senator John Kerry's induction in 1984.

This past Tuesday, courtesy of BSC's emergent Asian Studies Program, members of the local area, students and faculty interested in the welfare of global community, gathered for an insightful lecture by His Excellency Le Cong Phung. Phung has been a career diplomat, acting as liaison for Vietnam with numerous countries such as England and Thailand.

Bridgewater State College recently blocked a website called CampusLIVE, a portal that essentially allows students to access different aspects of the college resources that may interest them, such as email, news, and entertainment events. Many students are unsure as to why this helpful portal that seems to serve college students in so many ways is being rejected as a credible site.
