BSC examines the 'Bear' necessities

A concerned group of local citizens met in the Horace Mann Auditorium this past week. The members of the community included many medical professionals and people over the age of sixty wondering how their retirement years will be spent. On the walls of the auditorium, the frescoes of Greek goddesses, including one with a stone tablet with the words "a constant influence on the culture of succeeding ages" inscribed on it, reminded all in attendance just how far-reaching the results of the healthcare debate may be.… Post the First Comment

Hazing, an ongoing issue country-wide, is not uncommon on college campuses. According to hazingprevention.org, nine out of ten students who have gotten hazed in college don't consider themselves to have been hazed at all. SGA Update

At this week's SGA meeting, Vice President Dr. David Ostroth spoke. He spoke about the Free Speech and Demonstration policy and Posting Policy, H1N1 preparedness, university status, and other topics. Dr. Ostroth explained that university status is a goal of the college, but is not essential; he explained that it is not the wish of the college to become a part of the UMass system.… Post the First Comment
