"It's an urban Mardi Gras!" as they would call it. I prefer a wannabe urban Earthfest. It gets the job done though. The Allston Village Street Fair is an annual festival that has been held since 2004 and run by the Parents and Community Build Group, Inc. They're goal has been to build up the community through events such as the AVSF and make the Allston/Brighton area a more united community as a non-profit organization.
The Choice
by Elycia Mowry in Arts & Entertainment
Life is nothing less than a series of choices that ultimately steers the direction in which you live your life. The Coen brothers have gained popularity over the past year. After finally getting the coveted Oscar nod for last year's "No Country for Old Men", there was a great deal of hype leading up to this years "Burn After Reading", and it delivered. The Coen brothers strike gold where they have before: a chaotic dark comedy that throws real, relatable characters into desperate and sometimes deadly situations.

Almost every nationality, race, or culture has some sort of leader that they can look up to. Whether it is Martin Luther King Jr., Che Guerra, or Huey P Newton, there is someone that has either helped bring independence or has fought for a sense of equality.
