Downfall of education

There is nothing more frustrating than registering for classes at Bridgewater State College. The late night of waiting, accompanied by cups of coffee and cans of energy drinks. Only to find out that one must wake up again at 6 a.m. because the network is too busy at midnight.

Not only do I work at the Comment, but I am also a lunch server at the East Campus Commons cafeteria. I mainly work in the dish room, but last Sunday I was put on as a server, and I have this to say about the kids that eat there: (I use the word kids because the word adult does not apply to these people) you are all rude and immature slackers.
For whom the bell tolls

I approach this weekend with mixed feelings. One of my friends from home (let's call him Jackie) is getting married Sunday, and although I am part of the wedding party I can't help pondering the youth of the soon to be newly-weds.

The story of the invading alien army, a blink away from snuffing the life from all of humanity, has been told hundreds of time; yet Bungie manages to make the concept fresh and engaging.
We need more solutions

College students are educated in many courses by taking a "critical approach" where we judge and evaluate a certain concept or theory. In doing so we generate discussion about what strengths and weaknesses are and then class comes to an end.
This thought process is drilled into us in just about every course; but what few classes do is to stress not only criticism but solutions.

As newly appointed Editor in Chief, there are many things that cause me extreme worry and concern that I never thought possible. I worry about the possibility of a misspelled headline that changes a word and might happen to offend someone, or a glaring grammatical error in one of our stories, or even an irresponsible writer or editor who doesn't check their facts before they report.
