The Bridgewater State Women's Basketball team suffered a MASCAC 62-53 first round loss to Salem State this past weekend.
Salem controlled in the second half. Salem out rebounded the Bears 46-35 and shot 18-for-22 from the free-throw line.
"We knew they were going to be a tough team," said junior guard Justine Farroba.

Loras College, host of the Division III Wrestling Championships, has set up a tournament website which is getting updated continually through the start of the event.
Results of the tournament, which takes place at the Five Flags Center in Dubuque, Iowa on March 2nd & 3rd, will be updated throughout the day on both Friday and Saturday.

The National Communication Association hosted its first Careers in Communication event this past week at the Maxwell Library withTom Curran of NBC Sports.
Curran, a graduate of St. Anselm College, has written for the Providence Journal, appears on Fox Sports New England, and can be heard on WEEI 850 sports radio.

The Bridgewater State Bears lost their only chance to advance to the NCAA Tournament with a 49-59 loss to Westfield State during this past weekend's MASCAC semifinal game.
With the score tied at 29-29 with 15 minutes left in the game the Bears missed every opportunity.
