In just his second year of college basketball, David Rukstalis has quickly become a leader both on and off the court for the men's basketball team. Rukstalis, a sophomore majoring in math, is The Comment's Bears' Best of the week.
He began playing basketball toward the end of grade school and has become the player he is through hard work and putting forth the extra effort.
Hockey team to honor seniors, face-off vs. Babson College

The BSC Hockey team has enjoyed much success this season, and will look to keep that momentum going into the playoffs, which begin on February 16th. The Bears will take the ice tonight at 7:15 p.m. against Babson College in their final regular season home game of the year.

The Bridgewater State men's basketball team was overpowered by the visiting Panthers of Plymouth State University, losing 82-67, at the Adrian Tinsley Center.
Junior Nick Pelotte (Bingham, ME) lit up the Bridgewater defense for 25 points on 10-for-15 shooting from the field, while adding 4 rebounds and 3 assists.

The Bridgewater State men's basketball team reached the .500 mark tonight, easily defeating the Trailblazers of Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts, 81-55, at the Adrian Tinsley Center.
Bridgewater State improved to 10-10 overall, and an impressive 7-2 in the MASCAC, while Massachusetts College fell to 1-20 on the season, and 0-8 in the MASCAC.

The Bridgewater State College wrestling team dropped a 40-6 decision to New England power Norwich University on Saturday afternoon.
Seniors Brian Bartlett and Craig Buckley were the lone bright spots for the Bears as they each moved up a weight class and won their respective matches.

The Bridgewater State College dominated the visiting Trailblazers of Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts tonight, defeating their MASCAC opponent 77-41, at the Adrian Tinsley Center, avenging a 49-46 loss earlier in the season at North Adams.
With the win, the Bears keep their faint MASCAC Tournament hopes alive, as they improve to 9-10 overall, and 3-6 in conference play, while MCLA falls to 3-16 on the season and 1-6 in the MASCAC.
